Hi everyone! My name is Joel Brummer and I am from St. Cloud, Minnesota. I am currently going into my senior year at North Dakota State University as a mechanical engineering student and have a minor in mathematics.
If I could spend one day doing anything I would have to say it would be spending a day in northern Minnesota four-wheeling, swimming, biking, fishing, relaxing in the forests, and camping. I love the summers up here and always look forward to getting some quality outdoors time.
For music I seem to like almost everything (that is decently appropriate). Recently, I have been listening to a lot of country along with Linkin Park, James Blunt, and Green Day.
I feel like I am inspired by many things. Some of the biggest ones for me are nature, God's love, and music. In nature I really enjoy being in forests, because I find God in their strength and beauty.
I have traveled to Germany, Austria, and Canada. I grew up in St. Cloud, MN, and now feel like Fargo, ND is a second home for me.
I definitely prefer sunsets. There is something to me about the calmness that seems to come with a sunset that I truly enjoy. I also have a lot of memories of sitting on a dock or in a boat fishing as the sun sets on past family vacations and feeling completely content.
My favorite passage would have to be Psalm 23. I have tried to live my life by the idea that if I trust in God there is nothing that I need and I need not fear with Him by my side.
I am most excited to get to know everyone and to experience the special something that God has planned for each and everyone of us (truly I am really excited to find this one out!).
